Nagarjuna Construction registers decline of 28% in its Q4 Net Profit

Nagarjuna ConstructionHyderabad-based infrastructure major Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited has registered a fall of 27.78 per cent in its net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2009.

The company has posted net profit worth Rs 38 crore, against Rs 52.62 crore in the corresponding period last year.

In addition, the company has also registered fall of 12.58 per cent in its revenue, which dipped to Rs 1,099.52 crore as compared with Rs 1,257.79 crore last year

However, the Infrastructure group managed to post a growth of 8.28 per cent in its net profit to Rs 181.34 crore for the year ended March 31, 2009, against Rs 167.47 crore last year.

Further, its total Income has also surged to Rs 4,802.3 crore, up 31.24 per cent, compared with Rs 3,658.96 crore, last fiscal.

Apart from announcement of results, the board of directors has recommended a dividend of Rs 1.10 per equity share for 2008-09.
