Netflix is currently shipping discs with Nintendo Wii to some of its customers as a trial before the method is put in regular practice.

It came as a promotional medium for the online rental service company to offer the users of Wii with discs, through which they can stream and watch the videos.

This could be really helpful in increasing the marketing and "ensure that we deliver a great experience to everyone when we launch" said the company's Marketing Executive Jessie Becker. It is further stated that a member of Netflix, who has an unlimited plan with charges of $8.99 per month or higher, a broadband connection, and a Wii console would be able to access this service in near future.

Meanwhile, for the ones who are impatient an option called, PlayOn, has been launched. It is yet to be seen how this pilot test works; whether it satiates the needs and wants of the people or just vanishes out of the blue.
