childhood-obesityRecently the scientists have found a valuable way to get rid of the epidemic of childhood and teenager obesity.

Scientists suggested a simple step that might lead to reduce the problem little. The suggestion was to start school sooner.

The study revealed that early admission to a school environment might have an enduring protective result in terms of adolescent girls' inclination to obesity.

A survey was done by the researchers on nearly 6,000 girls from the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth. In it there was the data regarding when they started school and their body mass index (BMI) from ages 12 to 18.

They got the result that the girls who were born a month or less before the cut-off date for school conscription as well as the girls who started school in the younger age were notably less overweight during teenage years. They were less in weight as compared to those who were born in the month after cut-off.

Children who joined in school a year later than when they first became qualified similarly were more expected to be overweight than those who started on time.
