The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has said that 35 per cent more of its members have recorded a rise in housing projects funded by the private sector compared to the previous three months of the previous year. The increase in the number of housing projects has helped boost the sector in Scotland.

The data also showed that workloads is rising across the country as the property market marks a rise in sentiments, according to the survey by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (Rics). In the survey, a positive balance of
41 construction firms said that they have an increase in housing projects on the preceding quarter. The figure is higher than 31 per cent in the previous three-month period. The overall growth in the construction industry was healthy but experts have said that the growth was still falling well short of demand.
