Next iPhone to feature a larger screen, report
Technology website, MacRumors has released new case designs indicating that the next generation of the Apple iPhone, dubbed the iPhone 5 will feature a larger screen compared to the 3.5-inch display found of the current version.
The report on MacRumors says that the iPhone 5 design may have dimensions of 4.33" x 2.36". This means that the new device will have a thinner profile and a slightly wider frame. It also claims the new iPhone 5 will include 4-inch screen at minimum.
The company is expected to release the new version sometimes in October 2011. Various manfucaturers are lining up their Andoridn powered devices to release this year to take on the newer version of Apple’s popular smartphone. Devices including, Samsung Galaxy S2 that has a has a 4-inch screen will be released in the US in September, HTC Holiday, HTC Thunderbolt and Motorola Photon will come with large 4.3 inch screens.
Reports suggest that Apple might make its screen larger to take on the competition form Android devices that flood the smartphone market these days.
