NGC Unveils New Packaging, Website & Content

Good news for all those, who are regular viewers of National Geographic NGC Unveils New Packaging, Website & Content  Channel (NGC). The channel has taken a new avatar to give its viewers even more refreshing experience of watching TV. The channel, which is quite popular for imparting knowledge and information regarding various fields has unveiled new packaging, new website and new content with an aim to provide entertainment to its viewers which is “relatable, innovative and relevant.”

Talking about the new introductions in the channel, NGC India senior VP content and communication Rajesh Sheshadri explained, “We are extremely proud to launch the new avatar of our channel and website as it is a testament to our constant efforts to innovate. The revitalized look is guaranteed to make the viewer sit up and watch the channel with a whole new perspective. Our website will take the viewer to a whole new world of information, engagement and entertainment this August onwards.”

The website of the channel, natgeotv.co.in, would feature a video section, discussion forum, games monthly contests and sections covering Nat Geo genres.

To give depth to its graphics and vectors for all technical and architectural images, the channel has used still photography in a 3D-pan movement. Other than this the channel has also announced the starting of many new shows, which would cover genres like action, adventure, technology and “extreme wild.”

Action shows like Inside Iraq’s Kill Zone, US border War, Fight Science etc, would be telecasted on the NGC every Monday. The Tuesdays would be reserved for Long Way Down at 8pm, and World’s Deadliest Animals and Dangerous Encounters with Brad Barr would be available every Wednesday.

There is yet more, NGC on August 7, 2008, would showcase Beijing Olympic Stadium at 8 pm, Water Cube on 21 August at 8 pm, Super Factories - Caterpillar/Winnebago on 7 and 14 August at 9 pm and Monster Moves on 4 August at 9 pm.

Shows like Super Human, Inside the Body Trade, Emergency Transplant, Crystal Skulls, and Solar Force, would be focused on by the channel on Sundays at 8pm.
