NIIT, Asia's No. 1 IT trainer and leading Global Talent Development Corporation, has secured a five-year contract from Department of Education, Government of Gujarat.

Under the deal, the company will introduce Computer Aided Learning in 1870 high and higher secondary government schools for classes 9?12 in Gujarat.

The contract, which is valued at Rs. 84.38 crore, would impact around 9,00,000 school students across Gujarat.

It should be noted that the Gujarat, is yet another state into NIIT's portfolio after its recent foray into Rajasthan with 1672 schools.

Shares of NIIT were trading presently at Rs 31.80, up 1.76 per cent on the BSE.
