Federal Bank Q4 net up 11% at Rs 114 crore, declares 50% dividendFederal Bank, a leading Kerala based private sector lender has declared fourth quarterly results for the period till 31, March 2009.

During the period under review, the bank has reported 11% growth in net profit, which stood at Rs 114 crore, as compared to Rs 102 crore during same period of fiscal 2008.

The total income of the bank has witnessed 20.73% growth at Rs 1,016 crore during the March quarter, from Rs 841 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Further, the board of the bank has declared a dividend of 50% at the rate of Rs 5 per share for the financial year ended March 31, 2009.

Federal Bank has reported that its consolidated net profit during financial year ended March 31, has witnessed 31% growth, which stood at Rs 472 crore, as compared Rs 360 crore during financial year 2008.

Bank's total income has also went up 31.66 per cent to Rs 3,831crore during the fiscal ended March 31, from Rs 2,910 crore in the year-ago period.

On a standalone basis, Federal Bank has recorded a net profit of Rs 500 crore for Financial Year 2009, up 36% over the year-ago period. The standalone total income stood at Rs 3,831.15 crore at the end of Financial Year 2009.

Stock of Federal Bank ended the day in red at Rs 228, down 8.28% on National Stock Exchange (NSE). The total volume of shares traded on NSE was 3,605,953.
