Rani To Shoot In Malaysia In May
Bollywood hottie Rani Mukerji is all set to shoot a romantic movie in Malaysia's Kuala Terengganu state in May.
Mentri Besar, chief minister of the state that is situated 500 km northeast of the national capital, stated that his administration is happy that a Bollywood production house has chosen Kuala Terengganu as its shooting place.
Besar added that this could promote the state's tourism business.
Scenic Kuala Terengganu is located on the Terrengganu River and is surrounded by South China Sea from three sides.
Besar also said that the state administration will get a glass bottom barge for tourers to get close views of sharks and other marine lives.
Besar met the film maker and read the screenplay. But he did not reveal the names of other actors.
"The production house will disclose the list of actors and actresses including other details at a press conference before the start of the shooting," he said.
Bollywood movies and their stars, both from Mumbai and from Chennai, are well-known in Malaysia, which is home to around two million members of the Indian diaspora. (With Input from Agencies)
