Airtel joins hands with Novatium for broadband biz
Bharti Airtel said that it has signed a pact with Novatium, for expanding its broadband business in India.
Novatium is into the business of providing computer service.
As per the details, Novatium would be offering cloud computing services to the customers of Airtel in India. This would be done under the name of 'Airtel Net PC'. This information was given by the Chief Marketing Officer of Airetl, Vikas Singh while talking to the media people.
These services will be first launched in 11 cities, for pilot testing and would then be spread to other areas looking at the success rate. Chennai would be the first center which will see the start of the project.
The USP of the service is going to be its easy usage. And the middle income segment is the target audience for the service.
Singh also revealed that the service is available under three brand names for the Airtel customers. The first is Airtel Net PC Plus plan A. Under this, the customers are provided a Nova Navigator with USB keyboard and mouse for Rs. 4,999. The next are Plan B and C, which are available for Rs. 8,999 and Rs. 10,999 respectively.
