After the inaugural board meeting of the Defence Land Systems India, a Mahindra and BAE Systems joint venture company, the JV between the two parties has been declared operational with Anand Mahindra, Vice Chairman and MD, M&M chosen as the Chairman of the JV while Guy Griffiths, Managing Director International Operating Group BAE Systems will be the Vice Chairman on the board of the JV company.

The other board members also follow a mix of both the entities as. S. Parthasarathy, Executive Vice President, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd., Brigadier (Retd.) Khutub Hai, Chief Executive, Mahindra Defence Systems will be from the door of Mahindra while David Allott, Managing Director, Global Combat Systems, BAE Systems will be there from the foreign company.

Brigadier (Retd.) Khutub Hai, MD & CEO, Defence Land Systems India, said that the company has a lot of potential to become one of the leading players in the Indian defence industry as it has a very experienced team at the back of the huge opportunities available to be tapped.

In fact, the company has its several offering almost ready for several government departments despite the fact that it has formally commenced operations recently.
