ManTech selects new vice president of corporate development
It has been reported that Virginia's technology solutions developer ManTech has selected a new vice president of corporate development to support the company's acquisitions strategies.
The appointment of Matthew Candy, formerly of U. S. defense contractor General Dynamics Information Technology, was announced by George Pedersen, ManTech chairman and chief executive officer.
Candy was selected for the new executive role at ManTech for his work on General Dynamics' strategic planning initiatives along with his support for U. S. intelligence community initiatives among other high-level programs.
It was also reported that as ManTech's new corporate development vice president, Candy will support the company's ongoing strategic growth plan that includes acquisitions ahead of what company officials say they expect to be a security and defense industry consolidation period.
Pedersen said in a statement, "In addition to his extensive transaction experience, Matt's in-depth knowledge of the national security issues and industry dynamics will help us to diversify our portfolio, enhance our support to customers and significantly increase shareholder value."
