UAE Asks Indian Companies To Invest In Gulf regionThe United Arab Emirates (UAE) urged Indian companies to make investment in the Gulf region, while lauding the Indian community for being a major contributor to the comprehensive development of the UAE.

UAE Minister of Economy Sultan Al Mansouri met India's new ambassador to the region, Lokesh Mysore Kapanaiah, and talked over investment chances in the UAE for Indian companies.

Al Mansouri called on Indian firms to grab chances in the UAE in the infrastructure as well as clean energy segments and asked businessmen from both areas to exchange visits to expand trade relations.

There are more than 105 Indian firms investing in the UAE at the present time.

The minister stated that the Indian community forms an important part of the Emirates.

"The UAE leadership is always keen to secure a safe, attractive environment for the Indian community, allowing it to realise its ambitions," he said. (With Inputs from Agencies)
