HP unveils Pavilion Sleekbook 14 and Pavilion Sleekbook 15In a recent announcement of its new lineup of consumer PCs and accessories compatible with Microsoft's forthcoming Windows 8 OS, Hewlett-Packard (HP) unveiled two new Sleekbooks - the HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14 and the Pavilion Sleekbook 15 - which boast an ultra-thin form factor; and provide the day-to-day performance and easy applications required by consumers.

The key features of the two HP Pavilion line of Sleekbooks include keyboards with numeric keypads for better productivity; storage capacity of up to 1TB; HDMI outputs; and USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports. While Sleekbook 14 will have a 14-inch display and the Sleekbook 15 will have a 15.6-inch screen, both the Sleekbooks will be available in a wide range of colorful cases.

In addition, some of the other advantages which will be a part and parcel of the Sleekbooks include HP TrueVision HD Webcams; HP CoolSense and HP ProtectSmart features; and a private virtual room, HP MyRoom, for video calling, photo sharing and other such things.

Moreover, while Dolby Advanced Audio comes standard in the Sleekbooks, users can also avail the option of NVIDIA discrete graphics for bringing about a notable enhancement not only in gaming, but also in video creation and playback.

Scheduled to hit the markets in conjunction with the Windows 8OS launch on October 26, the HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14 and the Pavilion Sleekbook 15 will respectively be priced at $500 and $600.
