Omega-3 Diets Can Eliminate The Risks Of Alzheimer’s

Omega-3_DietThe study documented in journal of Neurology divulged that the diets which are rich in Omega -3 that is found in abundance in fish and some oils can reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s by 60 percent.

The study exposed that by introducing fruits and vegetables in daily routine eating habits, people can reduce the chances of getting dementia in old age by almost 30 percent.

The four years long study based on diet questionnaires and medical tests on total of 8,085 people in France, aging over 65, articulated that the rare consumption of fish, fruit, vegetables, and omega -3 diets can lead 51 percent of people to any form of dementia and 63 per cent people to Alzheimer’s disease.

In UK, around 500,000 are more likely to suffer from Alzheimer’s with women having slightly more at risk than men and this risk increases markedly with age .

Susanne Sorensen of the Alzheimer’s society said, “it is important people realise there are things we can all do to reduce our risk of developing dementia."

Walnut oils, flaxseeds, tuna, salmon, and trout are some of the sources that are pretty rich in Omega-3.

The study in the archives of internal medicine affirmed that by taking Beta Carotene, the risk of dementia can be lessened significantly.

According to the researchers, by providing 50 mg of the antioxidants to a group of men every other day for 15 years, can lead them to suffered less decline in memory than those in placebos.
