Once westbound flights start, be ready to pay more

Once westbound flights start, be ready to pay moreAs almost all the airlines have cancelled their westbound flights on the third day, experts are expecting a surge in the air fare prices once the flights starts operating towards the European destinations.

As the volcanic ash covered the European airspace, it is believed that once the operations become normal there will be huge demand as the straggled passengers will be accompanying the new passengers.

It is believed that several airline companies will have a tough time clearing and tackling the demand.

Moreover, since all of these flights will work on full or at least 90% capacity, the consumer may have to shed more as there’ll be only business class tickets left. There is expected to be a difference of Rs. 15-20 thousand in the price of normal ticket to a business class ticket. As per the estimates given out by International Air Travel Association (IATA), Airlines are losing out almost $200 million on a daily basis due to the cancellations of these flights.

After the ash plume had forced the extension of no-fly restrictions over much of Europe, it is believed a situation of chaos will arise when the straggled passengers will ask for tickets on a priority basis after the operations commence.
