Online Shopping Festival on 12-12-12 enjoys huge successEcommerce companies that participated Google India's online shopping festival on 12-12-12 enjoyed an unprecedented number of visitors, and the 24-hour event recorded a huge success.

More than fifty leading ecommerce companies had participated in the online shopping festival, which organized by Google India, with a sole aim to encourage shoppers to adopt online shopping.

Ecommerce companies concentrated at reaching out to first time online shoppers.

Rajan Anandan, Google India's vice president & managing director, said that the event received phenomenal and better-than-expected response.

Speaking on the topic, he claimed, "All our partners have seen massive increase in online traffic and some of them had already sold out their stocks by 3:00pm."

Anandan added that this was the biggest online shopping event that people witnessed in the history of India's ecommerce, and expressed hope that it would further boost the growth of online shopping in the country.
