Arunachal Pradesh is integral part of India: Bardhan

Ludhiana, Oct. 21 : CPI General Secretary A B Bardhan on Wednesday rubbished the Chinese claim over Arunachal Pradesh, saying the state will always remain an integral part of India.
"Arunachal Pradesh is ours. There are no two ways about it. Everyone knows that India-China border dialogue is going on. There should be discussion on it. It can be resolved bilaterally through discussions," Bardhan told reporters in Ludhiana.
The issue of Arunachal Pradesh has come into the fore after Beijing objected to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh''s visit to the state.

New Delhi, June 5 : Communist Party of India's General Secretary A. B. Bardhan on Friday admitted withdrawing support to Dr. Manmohan Singh Government on nuclear deal issue was not a right decision of the Left front.
"We could have broken with them on other issues, like economic issues, but pulling support on the nuclear deal was not right," Bardhan told a TV channel on Friday.

Mumbai, Aug 25 : The Communist Party of India today accused the US of being responsible for the failure of the recent Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) meeting in Vienna to give India a waiver for global nuclear commerce.
CPI General Secretary A B Bardhan told media persons here today, "Small countries raised objections and it was not without the knowledge of the US."
Bardhan said that most of the objections at Vienna were raised on the clauses of the Hyde Act, like continuous fuel supply to India.

New Delhi, July 14 : As political parties prepare themselves for Monday’s floor test, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India A B Bardhan today accused the United Progressive Alliance of horsetrading at the rate of 25 crore per member of Parliament.
Addressing a meeting to launch Left parties'' nationwide campaign against the government, Bardhan said: “No one has principles anymore. It is not a question of few crores but Rs 25 crore for horsetrading."
"I have never seen Rs 25 crore in my lifetime. I am sure that none of you (audience) have seen it either," he added. (ANI)

New Delhi, May 5 : A day ahead of United Progressive Alliance (UPA)- Left Party meeting on the much debated US-India civil nuclear deal, Communist Party of India leader AB Bardhan withered hopes of party members by saying that such meetings will not help as the Left will never change its stance on the deal.
“There is no time-limit to resolve the deadlock with the government. It is very convenient for Americans to have a time frame. The deal is headed for the deep freezer under the present dispensation,” Bardhan said.

New Delhi, Nov 13 : The Communist Party of India (CPI) General Secretary A B Bardhan today said that the government can approach the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), as long as they don't finalise any agreement on the Indo-US civilian nuclear deal.
During the meeting with CPI-M General Secretary Prakash Karat and Bardhan last week, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had reportedly sought their nod for the government to approach the IAEA for an India-specific safeguards agreement, which is one of the steps needed to operationalise the Indo-US nuclear deal.
