Bill Clinton earned six million dollars as speaking fees in 2008

Bill ClintonNew York, Jan. 28 : Former President Bill Clinton pocketed a whopping six million dollars in speaking fees last year, according to financial documents filed by Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The documents show that five million dollars of her husband''s 5.7 million dollars earnings came from speaking engagements abroad, including Kuwait''s National Bank.

All Obama administration officials are required to complete a detailed disclosure of their personal earnings, including spouse and children, which is updated annually.

Washington, Dec. 11 : Senate Republicans are considering asking former US President Bill Clinton to testify at his wife, Hillary's confirmation hearing.

The focus of the testimony could be about potential conflicts of interest involving his worldwide charitable enterprises, reports Politico.

"There are concerns about his international work across the board. Seeking donations from foreign governments is definitely concerning. ... It has been discussed, and it will be discussed," a Republican aide, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told Politico.
