Injured Ferguson ruled out of Australian summer

Sydney, Oct 1 2 : Australian middle-order batsman Callum Ferguson, who was injured during the Champions Trophy final against New Zealand has been ruled out of the Australian summer after a report confirmed that he had ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament.
Ferguson had twisted his right knee while fielding during the game in South Africa. The scans have revealed that the extent of damage to a joint is more than what was anticipated and he would have to sit out for six to twelve months.
Clarke, Haddin, Ferguson and Bracken will miss India series

Melbourne, Oct 9 Australian vice-captain Michael Clarke, Brad Haddin, Callum Ferguson and Nathan Bracken have been omitted, due to injuries, from the 15-member squad for the seven-match One-day series against India.
Announcing the team here Friday, national selection panel chairman Andrew Hilditch said that Clarke is continuing his rehabilitation from back soreness while wicket-keeper Brad Haddin continues his recovery after a finger surgery. Callum Ferguson and Nathan Bracken are also suffering from knee injuries.
