Carlos TevezLondon, Apr 5 : To ensure his move to Manchester United is completed during the summer, footballer Carlos Tevez is prepared to reduce his pay demands.

It has been claimed that United are reluctant to pay 30 million pounds to Media Sport Investments, who hold the Argentinean striker’s registration.

But Tevez is so desperate for the deal to be done he has told his advisers to lower their asking price so he can sign a new five-year contract, News of the World reported.

They are helping him out after cops impounded his 140,000 Bentley, reports The Sun.

Officers stopped the Argentinian near the club's training ground because his windows were too dark - then discovered he might not be allowed to drive in the UK.

The Bentley is now stuck on the drive of the star's 1.8 million pound home at Alderley Edge, Cheshire, while the matter is sorted out.

Forward Tevez's future to be decided in summer

The Argentina forward is on a two-year loan to United from West Ham.

United have first-refusal to sign him when that expires in June.

Tevez is keen to stay, but will have to wait on his future.

"I have the headstart in Manchester and my idea is to stay here for a few more years," Tevez told Radio del Plata.

"It would be very difficult to have to leave one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Cops pulled over the 25-year-old Argentinian striker, while he was driving to the club''s training ground on the M60, because its windows were "too dark".

They initially warned him that the windows of his car were heavily tinted, but later seized the vehicle upon realising that the football ace did not have a full UK licence.

According to The Sun, club boss Alex Ferguson is said to be running out of patience with the 24-year-old Argentinian striker after he made it clear that clubs are lining up to sign him.

Tevez's owner and advisor, Kia Joorabchian, said: "I don't know if `Carlitos' will go. It's difficult to say. Anything can happen.

"Madrid want him and have showed concrete interest. They're not the only club. There are many," Joorabchian added.
