Pune, Apr 11 : Maharashtra police on Saturday arrested a sharp-shooter of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

Asif Mohammad Shaikh alias Asif Dadhi, an alleged associate of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, has been sent to a two-day police custody.

Many cases of murder, attempt to murder and ransom have been registered against Dadhi.

New Delhi, Dec 18 : Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim was involved in the assassination of Mumbai ATS chief Hemant Karkare, according to a website politicsparty. com.

According to the website, Dawood Gang was desperate to kill the ATS team, as they were ''completely neutralised'' by the ATS squad of Hemant Karkare, which had detained dozens of Dawood''s shooters and killed as many in encounters. The Dawood gang had readied itself for the arrival of the Pakistan terrorists in Mumbai and had pointed out the ATS team to them.
