London, Nov 30 : Indian film industry, the Bollywood, is teaming up with Hollywood on a major two-part epic on the scale of Lord Attenborough''s Gandhi telling the life story of Indira Gandhi.
Boasting a budget of 40 million pounds, the biopic of the former prime minister of India who was assassinated in 1984 has an international cast and crew.
The ‘Queen of Bollywood’, Madhuri Dixit, has been roped in to play the title role in ‘Mother: The Indira Gandhi Story’.

New Delhi, Nov 19 - India Thursday paid homage to the late Indira Gandhi, the country's first and only woman prime minister, on her 92nd birth anniversary with floral tributes and other ceremonies.
At her memorial Shakti Sthal on the banks of the Yamuna river here, a remembrance ceremony was organised early in the day.

New Delhi, Nov 19 : The nation today paid homage to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 92nd birth anniversary.
Born in a politically active Nehru family, she was the Prime Minister for three consecutive terms from 1966 to 1967 and for a fourth term from 1980 until her assassination in 1984.
A number of functions and welfare programmes are being organised across the country as a mark of respect.
A religious prayer meeting was held this morning at Shakti Sthal, her memorial.

New Delhi, Oct 31 : Congress president Sonia Gandhi Saturday paid tributes to her mother-in-law and late prime minister Indira Gandhi, saying her leadership during the liberation of Bangladesh was a "prime example of her commitment" to protect India and its people.
Sonia Gandhi said there are some people who continue to inspire others even after their death. "Such people create history and she was among them," the Congress president said.
Gandhi said it was unbelievable to know that "Indiraji is not among us".

Accompanying her to Rae Bareilly in 1977 elections, Tiwari had earned himself a nickname of ''Pilot'', he also escorted Indira Gandhi''s car during her visits in Uttar Pradesh from 1972 to 1984.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi, the slain leader's daughter-in-law, were amongst the first to pay tribute at her memorial on the banks of the Yamuna river.
An all-religion prayer was also organised on the occasion.
