Minissha Lamba stranded in New York

Mumbai, Aug 29 - A Bollywood actress has been held captive by Hurricane Irene which struck the US East Coast Sunday. Minissha Lamba, who is in New York for an India-US cultural event, is stuck on the 22nd floor of a hotel and is likely to remain there till the hurricane blows over and air services are restored.
Speaking on Sunday morning from Radisson Hotel in New York, the actress said: "It's really scary out here. For 36 hours, the entire New York will have to stay indoors. A state of emergency has been declared."
Ballary's 'Hum Tum Shabana' coming out in September

New Delhi, June 23 : Director Sagar Ballary, known for his "Bheja Fry" franchise, all set entertain movie buffs with another comedy - his next titled "Hum Tum Shabana" is slated for Sep 23 release.
Touted as a rollicking comedy, "Hum Tum Shabana" is being produced by Sunil Chainani, Sameer Chand and Subhash Dawar.
It will feature "Golmaal" jodi Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade along with Minissha Lamba and Satish Kaushik. Model and ex-VJ Pia Trivedi will make her acting debut with the film. (IANS)
Jewellery still with customs, says Minissha Lamba

Mumbai, June 3 : Though tight-lipped about the legal proceeding, actress Minissha Lamba, who was recently detained at Mumbai airport for carrying undeclared jewellery worth Rs. 50 lakh, says the jewellery is still in the possession of the customs authorities.
"It's still on. It's not over, unfortunately. Everything is still with customs. It's a legal matter, I am not supposed to speak about it," Minissha, 26, told IANS.

Mumbai, May 22 : The 16 hours of detention at the Mumbai airport for allegedly carrying undeclared jewellery were harrowing but actress Minissha Lamba says the authorities were "very, very, friendly" and the time was spent chatting about various things, including her experience at Cannes.
"We had a very lively 16-hour session," said the "Well Done Abba" actress.
"What can I say? I had the choice of either sitting and crying or trying to make the best of a bizarre situation. Guess what I chose to do? I took a chill-pill," she told IANS.

Mumbai, March 16 - Working with Shyam Benegal is almost every serious actor's wish and when actress Minissha Lamba got a chance to do so, she says, she could be "nothing but perfect". She terms their film "Well Done Abba" an "educative trip".

Minissha Lamba (born on January 18, 1985 in New Delhi, India to a Punjabi-speaking Sikh family) is an Indian actress.
When Lamba was growing up, her father was in the hospitality business and this gave Lamba the opportunity to travel around the country and meet many people.
