Klose in quarantine over swine flu

Munich - Bayern Munich striker Miroslav Klose and his family are under quarantine after his twin sons were diagnosed with swine flu, his club and the German football federation DFB said Thursday.
Klose did not join the German national team squad in Bonn ahead of the scheduled match against Chile on Saturday and it was unclear whether he would be able to play next Wednesday against Ivory Coast.
The match in Cologne against the South Americans was called off following the death of goalkeeper Robert Enke.
Klose to miss Germany's World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan

Munich - Bayern Munich striker Miroslav Klose will miss Germany's World Cup qualifier next Wednesday against Azerbaijan due a bruised ankle he picked up in training, his club confirmed Friday.
Klose will also miss Bayern's opening match of the Bundesliga season Saturday against Hoffenheim. Bayern coach Louis van Gaal is already without Argentine defender Martin Demichelis, Luca Toni and Franck Ribery for the game.(dpa)
Munich's Klose sidelined for up to eight weeks
Submitted by Mohit Joshi on Mon, 03/16/2009 - 22:59.Munich - Bayern Munich and Germany striker Miroslav Klose will be sidelined for up to two months over an ankle injury, Munich's general manager Uli Hoeness told the Sueddeutsche Zeitung daily on Monday.
The paper, on its website, quoted Hoeness as saying that Klose was due to undergo surgery later Monday "and will then miss six to eight weeks."
Klose will not only miss upcoming Bundesliga matches but also Munich's European Champions League quarter-finals and two World Cup qualifiers for Germany.
