Gadkari says sorry to Lalu and Mulayam

BJP president Nitin Gadkari has apologized Chief of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Lalu Prasad Yadav and the Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for his offensive remarks against them. Gadkari had used offensive words against Lalu Prasad and Mulayam Singh Yadav at a public rally in Chandigarh.
Gadkari commented about both leaders at the recent rally, "These leaders were roaring like lions but later bowed like dogs to lick the feet of Sonia and the Congress". This line has created issue all across the country.
Won''t accept Amar Singh''s resignation, says Mulayam

"Amar Singh has resigned from the post of general secretary and from the parliamentary board. But our relationship is such that I will not accept his resignation. One can''t sever these ties so easily. This will soon be resolved," he said.
The friction is said to be increasing within the party. Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has also resigned as the general secretary of Samajwadi Party (SP).
The actor-turned-politician resigned a couple of days after Amar Singh, quit from all party posts of the SP.

"It's true that Amar Singh has given his resignation from all party posts. But I will not accept his resignation. Everything will be ok," Mulayam told reporters at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport here.
Asked about Sanjay Dutt's announcement of stepping down from his post, he said: "Everything will be sorted out."
Mulayam was in Kolkata to visit the private hospital where Marxist patriarch Jyoti Basu is critically ill with pneumonia.

"He is a leader who can take action against others," Mulyam Singh said, referring to reports that the party was unhappy over some of his remarks and could take action against him.

Lucknow, Nov 14 : Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav Saturday sought to distance himself from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rebel Kalyan Singh but did not blame him for the reverses his party suffered in the by-elections in Uttar Pradesh for which he held the Congress responsible.
"Kalyan Singh was never a part of the Samajwadi Party, nor is he one today and let me also tell you that he will never be allowed to join our party," Mulayam Singh said at a press conference here.

Lucknow, Nov 9 : Samajwadi Party (SP) president Mulayam Singh Yadav would lead a demonstration here Nov 15 to protest what he termed as "unfair" State Advised Price (SAP) fixed by the Mayawati government for sugarcane.
"The price fixed by the state was lower than the input cost of the farmer," he said.
Mulayam Singh urged the state government to raise the SAP to Rs. 300 per quintal from the current Rs. 165 and Rs. 170 quintal for the two key varieties of sugarcane.

Party general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav said Kannauj MP Akhilesh replaces Mulayam''s brother Shivpal Singh Yadav.
Thirty six-year-old Akhilesh entered Parliament in 2000. He is the only member of the 15th Lok Sabha, who has been elected from two constituencies (Kannauj and Firozabad). (ANI)
