Washington, Sep. 1 : Catholics have invited acclaimed Hindu leader Rajan Zed for an inter-faith dialogue.
Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, has been invited to attend the Diocesan Ecumenical Inter-religious Commission meeting of Roman Catholic Diocese of Sacramento on November 18.
Most Reverend William Keith Weigand, Bishop of Sacramento Diocese, in a letter to Zed, wrote, “With God’s help, we can all work for understanding through dialogue so that all faiths may proclaim their message in peace, freedom and non-violence.”
Washington, Aug. 30 : The only Sanskrit rock band of the world, "Shanti Shanti", has come up with a groundbreaking new album on the oldest scripture of the world Vedas, and presented the first copy to Hindu leader Rajan Zed in Nevada.
This CD titled "Veda", produced by Ganesha Publishing BMI, contains shlokas (hymns) from all four Vedas—Rig-veda, Sama-veda, Atharva-veda, and Yajur-veda, some as old as 1,500 BC.
With extensive research and selection process, it took one year to complete this CD, which is their sixth album.
Washington, Aug 19 : Acclaimed Hindu and Indo-American leader, Rajan Zed, has said that racism had engulfed many countries in the world and that all religions should work to eradicate it.
In a statement in Nevada (USA), Zed, who is the president of Universal Society of Hinduism, said that as religion was the most powerful and far-reaching force in our society and all preached against racism, so religions and their leadership could be most effective in removing racism from the face of the earth.
