Washington, Oct 6 : Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has officially confirmed that she would not run for president in the 2012 elections.
Palin said in a letter to her supporters that the decision came after much thought, and that she and her husband, Todd would “devote themselves to God, family and country,” the BBC reports.

Anthony List, an anti-abortion rights women's group and splices together images of Palin on stage before enthusiastic crowds, participating in TV interviews and shaking hands.

According to the reports, an independent counsel has found a legal defense fund for former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin provided "private financial benefit" for her in violation of state law.
The Anchorage Daily News reported on Thursday Anchorage, Alaska, attorney Tim Petumenos said Palin, whose supporters established the fund to help her pay legal bills in an investigation of several ethics complaints against her, has agreed to return $386,856 donated to the trust prior to her resignation as governor last year.

According to the sources, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's contract to speak at Cal State Stanislaus calls for a $75,000 fee, bottled water and "bendable straws."
The Los Angeles Times reported on Friday that two unnamed California State University sources speaking on condition of anonymity who allege to have seen the contract say along with the fee to be paid in two installments of $37,500 each, are expenses for air fare, hotel and transportation yet to be calculated.

According to the reports, Conservative Sarah Palin ripped an Illinois high school for canceling a trip by the girls basketball team to Arizona in protest of the state's immigration law.
The Chicago Tribune reported on Thursday that the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate wondered aloud during a speech Wednesday in Chicago why the school wouldn't send the team to Arizona but allowed a student trip to China.

A student has been charged for obstructing justice and unauthorized access to a computer that belongs to Mrs. Sarah Palin. The name of the student is David Kernell. He has been sentenced for 20 years for the first charge of obstructing justice and one year for hacking. He had hacked Mrs. Sarah Palin's e-mail in 2008 when she was working on her US vice-presidency campaign.

According to articles of organization filed with the state Commerce Department, the 19-year-old unmarried mum of a son with Levi Johnston has named her Anchorage-based firm BSMP LLC, reports the New York Daily News.
Bristol had broken up with Johnston after giving bith to their son Tripp on December 27, 2008.

Los Angeles, Dec 30 - The teenage father of Sarah Palin's grandchild has won a crucial court victory in a bitter child custody battle, portraying the one-time vice presidential hopeful as "vindictive" and "malicious", the Anchorage Daily News reported Tuesday.
The report said that a judge in the case had sided with Levi Johnston, 19, to have the hearings open to the public despite the request of Bristol Palin, also 19, to keep the deliberations behind closed doors.
