New Delhi, Jan 18 - Actor Sonu Sood has denied reports that he is doing the Hindi remake of Tamil chartbuster "Appadi Podu", saying the rights are with Bollywood star Akshay Kumar.

"Hi, all the stories of me doing the 'Appadi Podu' song for 'Lucky Unlucky' are not true. The rights are with Akshay Kumar for his home production," the 38-year-old posted on Twitter.

"Will really look forward to it, I am sure he will rock," he added.

Mumbai, May 29 : Thanks to the success of "Dbangg", Sonu Sood has got his share of sunshine in Bollywood. And after working with Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan, he now shares screen space with megastar Amitabh Bachchan in "Bbuddah - Hoga Terra Baap" and says that this is the best phase of his career.

"Every actor wants to work with Mr. Bachchan at least once. and I got an opportunity to work in a film, which is basically about him and me. Everyday was a learning experience. He is a great man with a lot of experience. He is a great guy and we had lot of fun together," the 38-year-old told IANS in an interview.

New Delhi, May 11 : Sonu Sood showed off his chiselled physique in "Dabangg" and now goes shirtless in an ad for animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India. A hardcore vegetarian in real life, Sonu features in the ad in a pair of low-slung jeans with a tag line - Strong Body. Tender Heart. Go Vegetarian.

"I really thank PETA for making me a part of their family. I think we should bring that kind of awareness to everyone that we have to do something for animals - become vegetarians and do good to this Earth," Sonu, 37, said in a statement.

New Delhi, Oct 5 :  He has featured in many big-starrers, but it is "Dabangg" that has got actor Sonu Sood his due. He has earned rave reviews for essaying the corrupt politician, Cheddi Singh, in the cop comedy.

" 'Dabangg' has been a turning point in my career. It has taken me a step ahead and portrayed me in a different avatar. It has helped people know that I can do action also," Sonu, 37, told IANS on phone from Mumbai.

Salman Khan plays the lead in "Dabangg", but Sonu's performance was noticed and appreciated by audiences as well as critics.

It was on the cards from even before the release of Dabangg when the film’s team had sensed the oncoming mass appeal of the ruralised hero Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan). The film and the main character has the potential to be carried forward through various channels.”

One of the very talented young actors of Bollywood Sonu Sood, who plays the role of a youth politician called Cheedi Singh in the upcoming movie ‘Dabangg’, is highly hopeful to return with his character in the sequel of the movie.

The movie is yet to release this week but the report of its sequel is rife from now. Sonu plays the villain’s role in the Salman Khan starrer movie. He has recently promised to return in the sequel too. The actor said that a sequel will happen surely but he does not want to reveal much about it.

Mumbai, Sep 5 : Known for doing intense roles, actor Sonu Sood plays a young politician in upcoming film "Dabangg". But he reveals that he was actually supposed to play the lead role, now being essayed by Salman Khan.

"The film was brought to me before Salman came on board. Initially I was supposed to do Salman's role of a cop... but when he decided to be a part of the film, I was offered the role of the youth politician that I'm now playing," Sonu told IANS in an interview.

Tall and handsome, Sonu Sood is one of the most promising young actors in B-town today. After his explosive performance in the Telugu blockbuster Arundhati, Sonu is looking forward to his first international film, City of Life. Here are excerpts from a conversation with the actor:

Mumbai, May 4 : Ahead of World Thalassemia Day, Bollywood actors Irrfan Khan, Sonali Kulkarni and Sonu Sood, joined underprivileged children affected with the blood disorder, in Mumbai.

The actors shared some time with the kids and also distributed gifts and watched a film along with them.

The function was organised by a voluntary group, ''We Care Trust'', that works for the prevention of Thalassemia.

Khan urged people to undergo a test for Thalassemia.

The film Arundathi is the biggest hit in recent times. The film starring Anushka and Sonu Sood is now well set to reach the milestone of 100 days at many centers in Andhra Pradesh.

Producer Shyam Prasad Reddy has subbed the film in Tamil and released it recently. He also plans to dub the film in various Indian languages shortly. The film is now being dubbed in ‘Sinhalese’ and will be released in Sri Lanka.
