Glock reaches deal with new Manor F1 teamHamburg - Germany's Timo Glock has signed for the new Manor team which makes its Formula One debut next year, the team said on Tuesday.

Glock, 27, has agreed a two-year contract with the team with an option for a further year after racing for Toyota for the last two seasons.

Glock, who was a free agent after the Japanese team pulled out of F1 at the end of the season, will be the lead driver for the British-based team.

The Toyota driver told German Press Agency dpa on Tuesday that he was still experiencing back and knee problems.

"I would have liked so much to race, especially in this last race on a new circuit," Glock said.

The 27-year-old German had been confident last week of recovering in time for the season-ender in Abu Dhabi. But he now does not expect to be fully fit for another two weeks.

Motorsport's ruling body will hear the protests lodged by BMW- Sauber, Ferrari and Red Bull against the controversial designs on Tuesday in Paris.

"Three teams had the same idea. This shows that they believed it was legal from the start," Glock told the German ZDF national television network.
