Karachi, Mar. 28: Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, while welcoming the US’ revamped Afghan strategy has said that the Obama Administration had accepted its stand.
Talking to media persons on the sidelines of an award function here, Gilani said the new strategy confirms that the United States has accepted its stance that only a hand full of people are involved in terror activities, and that the whole country was not under the influence of such insurgents.
Islamabad, Mar. 21 : Believe it or not, Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has property worth 200,000 rupees only.
According to the details of assets and liabilities submitted to the Pakistan Election Commission by Gilani, he does not own any plots, apartments, commercial buildings or agriculture properties anywhere in the country.
Gilani has also declared that he has no business capital.
Lahore, Mar. 21 : Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani will meet the Pakistan Muslim League chief Nawaz Sharif on Sunday to discuss ways to resolve the current political crisis in the country's Punjab province.
Gilani has taken all matters regarding reconciliation with the PML-N leadership in Punjab into his hands, asking the PPP team to immediately abort their `Get Punjab Plan'.
He summoned three Federal Ministers on Friday to get first hand report of numbers game in Punjab, The Nation reports.
Lahore, Mar. 18 : Former Pakistan Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif said Wednesday that Prime Minister Gilani has been told to repeal the controversial 17th Amendment.
Sharif told reporters here that the supremacy of law, elimination of poverty and outdated system were his top priorities.
"We have talked to the Prime Minister and now 17th Amendment will be abolished," he said.
