Injured Zaheer Khan ruled out of ODI series

India received a major blow as the left arm pacer Zaheer Khan has been ruled out of the three One Day International (ODI) series against South Africa due to muscle strain.
Zaheer had sustained strain in his quadriceps while bowling on the fourth day of the second test match against South Africa at Kolkata on Wednesday. Zaheer did not play on the fifth day.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary N. Srinivasan informed media that S Sreesanth will replace him in the Indian squad. The first ODI will be played at Jaipur on 21st February.

New Delhi, Nov 3 : Comeback paceman Zaheer Khan took three wickets and discarded all-rounder Ajit Agarkar four wickets as Mumbai restricted Punjab to 242 for nine on day one of the Super League Ranji Trophy match at the Sector
16 Cricket Stadium in Chandigarh Tuesday.
Electing to bat, Punjab were propelled by a century from Ravi Inder Singh (104) after their batsmen failed to get their act together.
Zaheer Khan back into action

Indian left-arm pacer Zaheer Khan has fully recovered from the shoulder injury as he made comeback for Mumbai against Baroda in the West Zone league T20 tournament at the Deccan Gymkhana cricket ground on Tuesday.
Zaheer failed to deliver his best as he took only one wicket for 31 runs in his four overs. Baroda captain Yusuf Pathan smashed four consecutive boundaries in Zaheer’s over before losing his wicket on the fifth ball of the same over.
Zaheer Khan to miss Champions Trophy

India left arm pacer Zaheer Khan is likely to miss the Champions Trophy as he had undergone a surgery on his left shoulder in South Africa three weeks ago. He is also doubtful for the tri series in Sri Lanka, which is scheduled to begin from next month.
Zaheer has just 10 days to recover from the injury as the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) will announce the Indian squad for the Champions Trophy on 16th August. Zaheer received shoulder injury while playing for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL-II) in South Africa earlier this year.
Sachin and Zaheer likely to miss West Indies tour

Indian Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and left arm pacer Zaheer Khan are likely to miss the West Indies tour which is going to start from 26th June.
According to a source, Sachin is likely to opt to rest rather than going to West Indies tour while Indian team led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni will play their last match today in the super eight round of the ICC T20 World Cup.

Indian left arm pacer, Zaheer Khan is finally back in his form and bowled brilliantly against Ireland in the pool match of the ICC T20 World Cup.
Zaheer had suffered many injuries in his carrier due to which he missed many big tours and major events including ICC T20 World Cup last time in 2007 at South Africa.
Zaheer was also doubtful to play in this ICC T20 World Cup also after he received shoulder injury in the Indian Premier League (IPL-2) playing for the Mumbai Indians.

Indian left arm speedster Zaheer Khan’s injury mystery continues as he has been included in Indian squad leaving for T20 World Cup in England.
BCCI sources reported that Indian Team will leave for England tomorrow and if there was any concern about Zaheer’s shoulder injury, they would have reported to media.
Zaheer’s injury mystery started when he got injured in a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL and was ruled out for rest of matches of his team Mumbai Indians.

Participation of Zaheer Khan, the indian left-arm bowler, in T20 World Cup seems to be under the clouds of uncertainty due to his unfitness.
Zaheer injured his left shoulder in a game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Johannesburg on May 3 while playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL.
After that injury, Zaheer has not played even a single match and is currently going through treatment. While rest of the Mumbai Indians team has come back to India, Zaheer opted to stay back in South Africa for recovering from his shoulder injury.

Wellington, Apr. 4: An inspired performance by Zaheer Khan on the second day helped India tighten its grip on the third and final Test here.
Khan produced a stupendous spell of fast bowling claiming five wickets for just 65 runs, which handed over India an important lead of 182 runs, as New Zealand was bowled out for a paltry 197 in their first innings.
Khan along with Harbhajan Singh, who grabbed three wickets for 43 runs, made sure that the Kiwis would not close in on the Indian total of 379.

Master-blaster batsman Sachin Tendulkar and left-arm medium pacer Zaheer Khan have been included in the 15 member Mumbai team for the Ranji Trophy semi-final against Saurashtra to be played at Chennai from January 4 to 7. With the inclusion of these experienced players in the team, Mumbai's march towards their 38th Ranji Trophy crown has been bolstered manifold. The match against Saurashtra would be his 36th for Mumbai.
