Poland creating a campaign to promote low-cost medical tourism           A campaign to further increase the number of tourists seeking low-cost medical and dental treatments is being created by Health and tourism officials in Poland.

Poland. pl reported on Friday that the Polish Association of Medical Tourism said as many as 330,000 visitors come to the country each year and spend $1,500 on average for dental crowns and implants and surgeries such as
breast augmentation.

The majority come from Western European countries such as Britain and Germany and Scandinavian countries where the procedures are more expensive, association chief Artur Gosk said.

Gosk further added, "Profits are up greatly (and) if we can maintain a high level of service, these competitive prices will promote themselves."

The report also said that on Wednesday, his group along with the Polish Tourism Organization and representatives of the health ministry agreed to form a group to further market medical tourism. (With Inputs from Agencies)
