New Delhi, Feb 13 : The Lok Sabha on Friday evaded a discussion on the 7,500 crore Satyam scam on the request of leader of the main opposition Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) L K Advani.

Deputy Speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal, who was chairing the post-lunch sitting, postponed the discussion on the issue to an indefinite date after the Telugu Desam Party leader K Yerran Naidu and CPI-M member Rupchand Pal asked about the plans to restore the fraud hit IT Satyam.

New Delhi, Feb 13 : Bhartiya Janata Party (BSP) prime ministerial candidate L K Advani accused the Congress- led UPA of being "insensitive" towards the Sri Lankan Tamils'' cause and dismissed the use of brutal force in resolving the grave issue.

Mysore (Karnataka), Feb. 9 : Angry Bharatiya Janata Party supporters protested here on Saturday against the Deputy Commissioner Manivannan for allegedly making a false announcement about the death of former prime minister and BJP leader Atal Behari Vajpayee this past week.

The false information caused a lot of confusion here recently after some farmer leaders, led by one Kurbur Shantakumar, arrived at the Deputy Commissioner's office for a scheduled meeting last week.

Lucknow, Feb 9 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati, on Monday said that Bharatiya Janat Party''s Ayodhya chants were nothing but an `election gimmick', as the party remembers Lord Rama only when the poll are around.

"The BJP thinks of Ram temple only when polls are around. But, the public knows about its real face. Even saints are ridiculing the party," Mayawati told reporters in Lucknow.

Nagpur, Feb. 8 : The opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday reiterated its vow to construct the Lord Ram temple in Ayodhya, an issue that has been a flashpoint of tension between Hindus and Muslims for years, if the party is voted to power in the ensuing elections.

New Delhi, Feb. 7, : Women and Child Development Minister Renuka Chowdhury on Saturday said that there was a complete breakdown of law and order in Karnataka and the state government has lost control over the situation.
