New Delhi, Jan 15 : President Pranab Mukherjee will present ''Krishi Karman Awards'' for 2011-12 to best performing states in agriculture production on Tuesday.
Bihar, Manipur, Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh will be awarded the Krishi Karman 2011-12 awards. In addition, ten States are being given commendation awards.
President Mukherjee will present the award to Chief Ministers or Agriculture Ministers of these States.
Manama, Jan 10 : Qatar's Prime Minister Shaikh Hamad Bin Jassem Al Thani has dismissed claims that his country was seeking to dominate Egypt's politics and economy as "silly jokes."
Qatar announced that it would double its financial aid to Egypt to a total of five billion dollars in grants and bank deposits.
Addressing a press conference in Cairo after the announcement, Al Thani said that his country respected all countries, regardless of their size, and did not interfere in their domestic affairs.
New Delhi, Jan. 9 : The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has summoned Pakistan's High Commissioner to India Salman Bashir for a meeting here at noon today in the wake of the Pakistan Army's inhuman and provocative killing of two Indian Army soldiers in the Mendhar Sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.
The MEA is likely to issue a de-marche questioning Pakistan's shocking, counter-productive, distressing and aggressive action on Indian Army soldiers.

New Delhi, Dec 28 : Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Friday said the central government will take a decision on Telangana statehood within a month.
"The meeting was very cordial. Some representatives said the decision should be given as early as possible, and some said that it should be taken within a month," Shinde told reporters after the all-party meeting here.
He said he has full faith that there will be a solution to the problems being faced by people of Andhra Pradesh.
