Amitabh Bachchan and Rajnikanth led a poll for the most loved celebrity fathers in the Hindi and southern film industry, respectively.

The poll was carried out by India's top matrimonial centre & marriage bureau, Shaadi. com.

The poll, which was titled My Daddy Strongest, witnessed 60.6% youth voting for Big B and making him the most loved celebrity 'Pa' in Bollywood.

Other Bollywood fathers, who got a place in top five list, include Rishi Kapoor, Dharmendra, Anil Kapoor and Jeetendra with 13.9, 9.5, 9.4 and 6.6 percent votes, respectively.

Among the southern actors, Tamil superstar Rajnikanth was voted the best dad with 42% votes.

In a declaration, Mr. Gourav Rakshit, business head of Shaadi. com, stated, "The poll reflects the mindset of today's youth. Although times are changing, it's nice to see that the qualities admired in an ideal father haven't changed much over generations."

Shaadi. com conducted the survey on the occasion of Father's Day Sunday and received responses from more than 85,000 people, who logged onto the matrimonial website.

Amitabh, 67, is the father of Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Nanda, while Rajnikanth, 60, has two daughters - Aishwarya and Soundarya. (With Inputs from Agencies)
