Washington, Aug 14 : Rachel McAdams has said that the overwhelming public interest in nude scenes in movie is uncalled for, as it puts actors under pressure and makes them "nervous" about stripping off on screen.

The `Notebook' star is convinced that getting naked for a role should be considered a part of the job.

However, she admits that many stars try their best to avoid shedding the clothes, fearing that the shots will end up on the Internet.

And the Hollywood actress blames today''s celebrity-obsessed culture for scaring actors away from controversial naked scenes.

"When you''re playing a fictional character, it''s (being naked) as normal and mundane as eating breakfast," Contactmusic quoted McAdams as having told Parade magazine.

She added: "What bothers me is our culture''s obsession with nudity. It shouldn''t be a big deal, but it is. I think this overemphasis with nudity makes actors nervous. There''s the worry about seeing one''s body dissected, misrepresented, played and replayed on the Internet." (ANI)
