Rahman Plans ‘Music Tour' To Salute Bollywood, Indian MusicAce music director A R Rahman has planned a music tour to honor Hindi film industry plus Indian music.

Oscar and Grammy Award winner has reportedly joined hands with producer Deepak Gattani and creative director Amy Tinkham, who is renowned for making live musical concerts for Back Street Boys, Mariah Carey and Britney Spears.

Rahman's representative said that 'The A. R. Rahman Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour' will be a contemporary presentation of Indian customs in a theatrical format.

It is also said to be a musical plus visual show with big effigies on LED screens and will have a superb cast of instrumentalists as well as performers allover the world, making the concert a "theatrical experience using novel technologies."

Recently, Rahman took part in the 2010 remake of "We Are The World" with the intention to help Haiti, and it is important to note that the concert will feature music that music director was working on with the late "king of pop", Michael Jackson, before his ill-timed death in 2009.

Other performances will consist of songs from "Slumdog Millionaire" plus the Indian flicks "Lagaan," "Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na," "Dil Se," "Rang De Basanti" and "Roja'".

The first show of the tour will happen on 11th June at the Nassau Coliseum in New York, and will continue on to more than 20 different regions throughout the world. (With Input from Agencies)
