Rahul Gandhi Visits Flood-Hit Areas In UP

Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi paid a visit to the flood-hit villages of Rahul Gandhi Visits flood-Hit Areas In UP Uttar Pradesh district. He also visited the BRD Medical College Hospital. He visited Chakki Hajipur and Deora Khas Raja. He enquired from the people whether they are getting benefits of schemes launched by UPA government or not.

Rahul Gandhi was accompanied by state Congress president Rita Bahuguna Joshi. He spent 45 minutes in these villages before leaving for Gorakhpur. He walked about a kilometer to visit these villages. He ensured full help and support from the centre government to the victims of flood.

He added that centre government has launched various schemes to provide help to these people. He advised villagers to use RTI to seek information from district administration about Central schemes.

He also visited BRD Medical College Hospital in Gorakhpur, to enquire about the present medical condition of the patients suffering from flood related ailments and brain fever. 160 patients suffering from brain fever are being treated at the hospital. Present condition of these patients was briefed to him by the doctors.

He also visited the Intensive Care Unit and children wards. He also talked with the relatives of these patients. He flagged off trucks carrying relief material for flood-affected people
