Rajat Sharma promoted India TV is all set to come up with a new 24X7 news channel.

The channel, India TV Wiz, will be a bilingual in Hindi and English.

While confirming the development, Mr. Sharma, who is Chairman of Independent News Service (INS), said: "Wiz will be up in six months, perhaps earlier in beta form. You will see a truly unique bouquet of content that will make it a nationwide phenomena."

The noted TV host also added that 24-hour channel will join hands with a "world class partner" for international news.

Sharma is one of the country's best known TV journalists.

Notably, it will be the first channel to have got an approval after the UPA returned to power.

Wiz will be available on analogue cable and all digital platforms.

The channel is likely to be launched by the end of this financial year. "A unique bouquet of content, which will make it a national phenomenon, is under the offering," added Sharma.
