Rape trail to go on fast track in Bollywood Actor Shiney Ahuja’s caseOn Friday, Mr. Ashok Chavan, Chief Minister of Maharashtra annunciated that a fast track court would listen the rape case in which a bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja is criminated. While talking to journalists and Chairperson of The National Commission for Women (NCW), Dr. Girija Vyas, Mr. Chavan announced that the case will be resolved at earliest. Dr. Girija Vyas was on Mumbai visit to judge the progression of the case.

On Friday evening, at the Sahyadri guest house Dr. Girija Vyas affirmed that it was a case of rape, in front of media.

Talking to the media, Mr. Chavan said, "The preliminary report in this case clearly shows that case is one of rape, but the police is still waiting for the DNA report to confirm the person's identity who committed the offence."

Mr. Chavan assured that the victim would be reinstated as per the procedure made by a government resolution. He said, "She comes from a poor background and so the State will provide her financial and any other type of help she may expect."

Mr. Mahesh Bhatt, Bollywood director and producer, was also there at the conference and demanded justice for the victim along with the accused one. He also told the media persons, not to make an entertainment product of this sensitive rape case.
