Ratan Tata slams Government's stand on leakage of Radia tapesRatan Tata recently lashed on the way Supreme Court has handled the case of his leaked conversation tapes with Niira Radia. He criticized the government on its "lackadaisical attitude" over the case.

He added that the Supreme Court has not bothered enough if an individual's privacy is hurt by these acts. He filed an affidavit in the court after the top secret conversation with Niira Radia was leaked which said that the government has made no efforts to find the source of leakage, and has not taken a single step even to retrieve it. As per Mr. Tata, this unacceptable attitude was highly irritating and unexpected from the Supreme Court.

Ratan Tata was also very concerned about the increase in the use of line intercepting which was earlier done only for probing very serious cases that concerned the state's security. He is of the firm view that stringent rules should be laid for the phone interception keeping in mind the privacy of an individual.

The violation of Article 21 of the constitution regarding privacy has deeply hurt Ratan Tata and the Supreme Court's stand has added to his woes.
