RCom ties up with 3rd Space Services for advertising-funded video content
The flagship company of the Reliance-Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group – Reliance Communications (RCom) on Thursday announced its partnership deal with the ‘3rd Space Services,’ mobile marketing company of United Kingdom for providing advertising-funded video content to Reliance Mobile customers – for dishing out local and International videos for mobile TV channels – and for providing free content to Reliance mobile customers.
Under the tie-up deal, the 3rd Space Services will provide – mobile video content, premium content like “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire,” Bollywood songs and movies, and sports content – to RCom for the users of data enabled mobile phones within the Reliance network. RCom will use the advertising model to generate revenues for the aforesaid services, which will be enjoyed by RCom subscribers using data services enabled mobile phones.
The partnership deal puts all – RCom, 3rd Space Services, and RCom subscribers – in gaining positions. The tie-up will help the two companies to generate their respective revenues, while RCom subscribers will get access to superb free content in lieu of viewing advertisements embedded within videos. Mr. Krishna Durbha, Head Value Added Services, RCom, and Warwick Hill, CEO of 3rd Space Services announced that the two companies will concentrate on fetching in Indian & International advertisers.
