New York, 13th Nov. 2008 - The General Assembly President told global leaders the world is facing its most difficult period since the founding of the United Nations and urged them to use their "moral strength" in finding solutions to the problems plaguing the Earth, such as global hunger, poverty and climate change.

Dhabi, Nov. 13, 2008 -- Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of both the Arab Women's Organisation (AWO) and the Family Development Foundation and Chairperson of the UAE General Women's Union today visited Sheikha Latifa Al-Fahd Al-Salim Al-Sabah, Chairperson of the Kuwait Women's Affairs Committee at her residence here at the emirates palace hotel.

Sheikha Fatima was accompanied by Sheikha Al-Yaziya bint Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Wife of Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
