Jakarta, Nov. 10 : The Muslim Defender Team, the lawyers who acted on behalf the three Bali bombers who were executed on Sunday, have said that they plan to file a lawsuit against the Indonesian Government on the matter.
Alleging a violation of human rights, Agus Setiawan, one of the lawyers, was quoted by the Antara news agency as saying: “The executions were done not in accordance with existing procedures. We are preparing to take legal steps.”

Jakarta - At least seven people were injured when turbulence hit a Boeing 747-400 jetliner belonging to China Airlines on Saturday en route from Taipei to Indonesia's Bali island, an airport official said.
A spokesman for the Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport named Dimyati said the CAL-687 jet carrying 357 people dropped drastically to about 25,000-feet altitude from 35,000 feet, jolting passengers.
Melbourne, July 29 : Lawyers representing the three Islamic militants who are on death row for the 2002 Bali bombings, have argued that they could suffer unnecessary pain if they do not die immediately when the lethal punishment is carried out.
The plea came ahead of a Constitutional Court challenge that is to be taken up next week.
Bali, Indonesia - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono expressed regret Tuesday but stopped short of apologizing for the violence that accompanied East Timor's UN-sponsored independence vote in 1999.
"We convey very deep regret of what happened in the past that has caused the loss of lives and property," Yudhoyono said after receiving a report of a truth inquiry which blames Jakarta for crimes against humanity during East Timor's independence vote nearly a decade ago.
"The government of Indonesia will immediately study and follow up the finding," he said.
