Tibetan exiles organise peace concert in DharamsalaDharamsala, Nov 9 : Tibetan exiles in Dharamsala organised a music concert here to promote peace and harmony.

Organised by Raise the Tibetan Flag Campaign (RTFC) and a self-help group, RAGPA, the concert provided a chance to exiles to stay connected with their music, which they feel is dying a slow death after the Chinese invasion of their homeland.

Such concerts they felt, help to preserve their culture.

Dalai Lama returns to Dharamsala

Dalai Lama returns to DharamsalaDharamsala, Oct 21 : Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, arrived here on Monday days after undergoing successful surgery to remove gallstones at a Delhi hospital.

Hundreds of Tibetans greeted their leader as he passed roads leading out of the airport. Floats were put up and Tibetans showered flowers on him.

Young and old, all waited eagerly to catch a glimpse of the Dalai Lama.

"We the Tibetans in Himachal Pradesh, all came to welcome our leader here. He has been in Delhi for few days," said Nodup Wangdu, a Tibetan exile.

Dalai Lama in New Delhi for medical check-up

Dharamsala, Oct 7 :Dalai Lama in New Delhi for medical check-up Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama arrived here last evening to undergo a routine medical check-up.

He was seen off at the airport in Dharamsala by Samdong Rinpoche, the Tibetan Prime Minister in-exile.

"He has some gall bladder problem infection and that is now okay. It is a periodical re-checkup which is needed, for that he is going to Delhi," said Rinpoche.

The Dalai Lama will undergo a routine medical check-up as a follow-up since he was admitted to hospital with abdominal discomfort in August.

''Tibet issue'' to be resolved through non-violent Gandhian principles: Rinpoche

Tibet MapDharamsala, Oct 1 : Tibetan Prime Minister in-exile Samdhong Rinpoche has said that the Tibetans issue shall be resolved through the non-violent Gandhian principles.

Rinpoche said this while paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on the eve of his 137th birth anniversary in Dharamsala, the seat of the Tibetan government in-exile, on Wednesday.

“Peace and non-violence is the only way to resolve any problem and Tibet is also to be resolved from that,” said Rinpoche.

Rinpoche also sent out a message of peace and non-violence to the Tibetans across the world.

Dharamsala, Sept 25: Dalai Lama makes first public appearance in Dharamsala after leaving hospitalTibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama, made his first public appearance after leaving hospital, as he began a three-day spiritual teaching discourse in Dharamsala today.

Organised by the ''Tibetan Buddhist Center Singapore'', the three-day discourse of religious teachings are being attended by Buddhists in large numbers from across the world.

Buddhists believe that these teachings would help them attain enlightenment.

Dalai Lama calls special meeting to discuss TibetDharamsala, Sept 13 : The Dalai Lama has called a special meeting of Tibetan exiles in November or December to discuss political unrest in Tibet this year and the future of the Tibetan movement. 

Samdhong Rinpoche, Prime Minister of the Tibetan government-in-exile has sent a letter to direct the speaker to commence a special meeting of the Tibetan people representatives including the parliament members.
