Parsvnath to build township in Panipat

Parsvnath to build township in PanipatRealty firm Parsvnath Developers Ltd has revealed its plan to build a township project in Haryana with an investment of Rs 212 crore. According to the proposal, the company would build 162-acre township project in phases. The project would be developed on a plot area of 6 .57 lakh square metre and the total built-up area would be 2.16 lakh sq metre.

The company authorities said that they have received environmental clearance from the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority, Haryana, for the construction of a proposed township project at Panipat in Haryana.

Panipat Refinery By November

Panipat Refinery By NovemberIndian Oil Corporation (IOC) on Friday announced that the capacity of the most advanced refinery at Panipat shall be expanded from 12 million tonnes to 15 million tonnes, per annum, and the expansion would be completed by November this year at a cost of Rs. 14,000 crore.

The near by naphtha cracker complex and the hydro cracker project at Haldia would also be commissioned this year.

IOC Director (Refineries), B. N. Bankapur, said that the commissioning of the naphtha cracker and the downstream polymer units at Panipat would make it an integrated refinery cum petrochemicals complex.

She was speaking at a rally at Panipat in Haryana on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi''s birth anniversary.

Sonia Gandhi said that the designs of terrorists would not succeed and also warned those who were trying to gain political mileage out of the issue.

“Such people are enemies of society and the country, Sonia Gandhi said, and added, “This is a national problem and everybody should come together to fight it.”

Samjhutta Express blast victims buried in an unkempt graveyard

Samjhutta Express blast accusedPanipat (Haryana), Feb 18 : The graveyard in Panipat, Haryana, where 29 Pakistani victims of the Samjhauta Express train blast lie buried, continues to be in a state of neglect even a year after the incident.

The bodies of the Pakistani passengers, many of whom were burnt beyond recognition, were buried at the Mehrana village graveyard near Panipat after consulting relatives and Haryana Waqf Board officials.

Residents have demanded that the graveyard be properly maintained and each grave should be provided with a tombstone with the name of the deceased.
