Ankara - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday repeated calls for Israel to put an immediate halt to its attacks in the Gaza Strip and also made a veiled criticism of the United States, describing the "multiple standard" of those who have failed to condemn the attacks.
In a hard hitting speech to parliamentary colleagues, Erdogan repeated Turkey's condemnation of Israel's military actions describing the operations as an "humanitarian disgrace" and a "stain on history's page."
Istanbul - Russian gas supplies to Turkey via Ukrainian pipelines have been cut amid the ongoing dispute over gas between Kiev and Moscow, the Turkish government said Tuesday.

Ankara - Turkey on Monday repeated its call for Israel to halt ground operations immediately in Gaza, with Foreign Minister Ali Babacan once again condemning what he described as a humanitarian tragedy.
"Many civilians, many women, many children have been killed. We condemn the ground operations ... We cannot stand by and watch," Babacan said after talks concerning events in the Israel with his Syrian counterpart Walid al-Moallem.
"The first thing that must happen is an immediate end to this humanitarian tragedy," Babacan said.

"Allah will sooner or later punish those who transgress the rights of innocents," Erdogan said.
