Review Of 'Mad Men'

Review Of 'Mad Men'This was perhaps one of the saddest episodes of ‘Mad Men’ in the entire season. SCDP is a sinking ship and the partners can do nothing but watch their dreams fall apart. Season 3 was all about starting a new agency and now that the agency has started working; it has run into financial troubles.

New clients are staying away from SCDP, because of their bleak future and this is making matters worse for Don Draper & Co. Some of the lower level employees at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce were subjected to job cuts. It was heart wrenching to see all those long time associates of SCDP moving out of the door. We especially felt sad for Pete, who had dedicated everything for the company only to be let off. Pete could have easily left the company with Ted Chow-guh-guh but he chose to stick with SCDP. The best scene of the episode has to be the silent moment between Don and Pete as Lane revealed that Don had paid Pete’s share form his own pocket.

The writers of ‘Mad Men’ are being especially harsh to Don, he is going through all the problems in his career and the situation with all those women is not helping at all. Overall this episode of ‘Mad Men’ was all about bad things happening to our favorite characters. The heartwarming moments of Mad Men held the story together.

We hope the storm cloud hovering over SCDP clears away soon.
