Robbers contend with CCTV cameras after failed bid After a group of unidentified robbers was not able to loot the Bank in Shimla, they decided to be satisfies with the CCTV cameras carrying the footage of the same.

It is to be mentioned here that when the robbers entered the Sanjauli branch of Punjab National Bank, they failed to procure cash and other valuable items from the bank and at last decided to take away the CCTV cameras with them.

Investigating Officer Madan Lal said that the gang of robbers was smart enough as they managed to run away with hidden recording device and compact disc on which CCTV footage is stored.

Bank manager Shyam Lal reported the case to the police. In fact, the police has so far been very active in this case and has rounded up about 60 unregistered Nepali laborers and questioned them in connection with the incident.

While the FIR has been registered under Section 457 and 511 for burglary attempt, the police is hopeful that it will be able lay its hands on the robbers some time soon. It is interestingly a smart steal at last.
